CBT Psychotherapy and Psychiatric Consultations

CBT focuses on the development of personal coping strategies aimed at solving problems and changing unhelpful thoughts, attitudes and behaviours. It can help you find new strategies to deal with everyday issues. CBT is "problem-focused" and "action-oriented", meaning that the therapist's role is to assist you in finding your own effective ways to achieve your goals. This will gradually lead to a decrease in uncomfortable symptoms such as anxiety, helplessness,  hopelessness, depression, ruminations, or distress.

CBT is based on the belief that thought distortions and maladaptive behaviours play a role in the development and maintenance of psychological difficulties.

CBT can effectively help you with a wide-range of life and health issues such as:

Anxiety, Stress, Panic Attacks, Phobias, Obsessions, Grief, Loss, Bereavement,

Unresolved Childhood Experiences, Emotional Difficulties, Low Self-Esteem, Old Age Difficulties, Life Trauma, Anger, Confidence issues, or Work-related Stress and Difficulties.

CBT is also successfully used in treating various psychological and psychiatric conditions such as: Depression, Anxiety Disorder, Eating Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Substances Misuse, Aspergers, Developmental Disorders or Psychosis.
